We called here for our third visit yesterday. Lovely as always. The decor in the place is great, it creates a nice atmosphere. The food was amazing. Cooked beautifully. I got the steak and it was great. The dessert menu was packed with plenty of choice so you couldn’t go wrong. We had a small child with us. Fair play to the staff the found a place for us where he didn’t annoy the other customers. I would revolution place and will be back again.

Would like to thank all the staff for being exceptional for my parents 40th anniversary. Having 3 veggies in the family, the tavern very kindly added an additional veggie curry special. The food was beautiful and the staff were bending over backwards for us. Special mention to Fiona, jenny, dean and Justin who served us and were lovely. And to Ronan for being so accommodating. We had a great night and we’ll be back!

For anyone who loves their steak it’s the place to go. I never tasted steak like it, it just melts in your mouth. I would recommend the rib eye and ribs special and the crispy cabbage is fabulous. The service is second to none, Ronan and all staff are so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the fire box grill, you won’t be disappointed! We’ll back again soon.

Words can’t describe..from the food to the service and the craic, everything was first class..didnt manage to get staff names but the wee girl behind the bar and the waitress who wears glasses, can’t say enough good things about them….result = a fab night out.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A hidden gem that is off the beating track but well worth discovering. There is a lovely, cosy, friendly atmosphere in the place and staff that makes you feel right at home. Food prepared in front of your eyes on a wonderful open wood fire grill that adds succulent flavour to mouth watering​ meat. Add this place to your bucket. A must go!!

My husband and I called in here on our way home from a day out for our 1st anniversary and I honestly had the best meal ever!! 3 courses for €22.95. After having recently had major surgery there are a lot of things I can’t eat, when I asked if I could leave out certain things the waitress was so amenable and actually asked me if there was anything I wanted and they would do it for me!!! Thank you so much to a wonderful place that made us so welcome and even though it’s an hour and a half away we said we wouldn’t care how far it was we’ll definitely be back. The ribs are amazing and I had salt & chilli chicken & noodles.

We called in without booking for an evening meal and ordered one rib eye and one fillet steak. All steaks are cooked on an open fire grill in front of you, if you so wish to see it been done. When the food was served the presentation was lovely, however the taste of the meat was really fantastic. No more to be said really.

A cute little unique irish Restaurant & Bar, with a real Locomotive’s firebox as a BBQ grill, stunning and insanely delicious food creations and the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Even got a vegan meal just made for us.Great all in all experience. :DGo and check it out!!!

Have written a previous review over a year ago but this time they excelled themselves. The care and consideration to my 5 yr old grandson was excellent. The courses and meals for the 6 adults was superb. On the down side the service could have been quicker but they were extremely busy and my son commented the menu appeared limited. The meal was excellent.

Visited here with my husband and son. Arrived early and got seated at the bar. The waitress was very friendly and chatted away while we ordered drinks , she asked if we’d like to look at the menu before we were seated which we did, she then explained our table would be 10 mins or so if we’d like to order so we did, we were then seated and shortly after our food was served , hands down it was the nicest steak we’d had in a long time. We were also given a complimentary portion of the crispy cabbage to try and it was so good! Needless to say we will be back. Great atmosphere, the friendliest staff , reasonably priced and if course excellent food.
